Indianapolis Colts Cowboy Hat

Wormy maple, turned green, bent, burned, colored and finished.

In 2007 I demonstrated for the Indianapolis Woodturners. I brought my Oneway 2436 lathe for the demo. I was told that they had been collecting funds for quite some time so they could purchase a new and bigger lathe. I wanted to help them in their efforts and, since the Indianapolis Colts had just won Super Bowl 41, I thought it would be a nice gesture to donate a cowboy hat with the Colts logo in hopes that a fan would purchase the donated hat. 

A few weeks later I received a call from Jim in Indiana who was interested in the hat and wanted to buy it as a gift for a friend of his. Jim turned out to be Jim Ersey, the owner of the Colts.
